Mary Martin is a visual artist based in Dublin. Through paint and process-lead approaches, Martin explores themes of archive as public memory, folklore and local histories. Martin has exhibited both nationally and internationally, partaking in both research and practice based residencies and has been supported by the Arts Council through the Agility Award. As a member of the Rank & File Collective, Martin has facilitated workshops and edited collaborative publications as a part of the Ceachta Beaga Gaeilge series, dual-language art books detailing forgotten trade union histories in Ireland. Martin is also a member of the MIDDEN collective alongside visual artists Sarah Edmondson & Niamh McGuinne; Midden Collective focus on the interpretation of evidence, creating decidedly unscientific work combining fact with fiction to create new narratives.

Martin is a current artist in residence in Creative Spark, Dundalk.
